I went on to a profile of someone i know but it doesn't give me the option to send them a message or add them as a friend but on a different fb account it gives me those options? Any idea's?

what i know , when this happen is because u have been blocked , so u want be allowed to add on ur fb

it may be due to person may have adult content in his profile.so fb will warn u in indirect manner that u request will consider as a spam.

Privacy!. They do not want anyone to send Message or add as Friend.
