I am connecting to A MACHINE that is in US using remote desktop connection. I would want to know that if i connect to it using remote desktop connection and watch videos online using that machines internet will cost me the same amount of data as it would if i were to use my local internet to watch the same.

It just depends how you connect to the internet to get to that machine.
