As a Tumblr user, I'll give you some advice. I have a pretty good amount of followers.
1. CHANGE YOUR THEME. Theme is important in making the decision to follow one. Most people won't even follow a blog if it has a theme you find in the Tumblr edit section. Try a custom theme instead, like these here: http://themesthatyoulike.tumblr.com/ . Three or four columns are best.
2. Stick to one blog type. Yours seems to be all over the place. Find a certain type of posts and stick to it.
3. Add an "About me" page and (preferably) a page with pictures of your face on it.
4. Be kind to followers-nobody likes a bitch.
5. Ask people to check out your blog. Read their FAQ first, though. Some people want to be tagged in a post, sent a message, or won't even respond at all and you'd be wasting your time.
6. Once you get enough followers, join a promo group or two. I'm active in three of them, and joined my first around 650 followers. I don't know how many you have, but some have follower restrictions. It's best to find ones that don't. Try this tag: http://www.tumblr.com/search/tumblr+network .
7. You can try things like follower trains, but personally I've found they don't help much.
