Is this being controlling? - EM23 - 04-29-2014 12:20 PM

Two best friends. Lets call them Friend A and B. Friend A likes Friend B and has low self esteem. She doesn't think she's good enough for him. Friend B knows she likes him yet continues to talk about other girls and how hot they are, etc. He does not like her back and she knows that. Friend A asks Friend B to stop talking about girls in front of her because she's hurt by it. Is this being controlling? And what if they follow each other on Twitter, Facebook and asks him to stop posting about hot girls on there?

It's a bit presumptuous, but not controlling.

It also sounds like Friend A may be a bit desperate. This is not really a healthy relationship because A is hanging on some guyw ho is not interested. She needs to find some friends and other people who do like her. B is being insensitive to A's feelings... but then again, he was honest about not liking her - so he may be trying to give her the hint to leave him alone by talking about other girls.

Its not really appropriate to ask someone to adjust what they post of twitter and facebook unless the posts are inappropriate, or you are the poster's parent.
