Liking your own Facebook Page? - xjame5 - 10-15-2012 09:25 PM

I recently created a business page on Facebook and now all of a sudden it's telling me to 'Like' my own page. Here's the message:

"Show support for the work you've done setting up your Page by liking it. When people visit your Page, they will see that at least one person has been here before."

Should I do this or is this a bad idea? I mean, if it's telling me to like my own page it couldn't hurt right?... but people visiting my page will see that I liked it myself won't they?...Thanks.
I'm asking because I'm hesitant about doing it. I'd prefer not to but FB asked me itself ha, so I thought maybe some rules or whatever have changed with FB recently (I don't have an account myself, this is strictly for a business that I do not own).

Uhm...that sounds a little conceited to be liking your own page. It drives me crazy when people like their own pictures. My advice? Don't do it.

I have a friend who likes every post/pic she posts.

And I have to say its ingenious as due to the upward-right tab it draws more attention.

And if no one likes them-self it means everyone is insecure xD tbh....cmon

Once you have several likes, no one will really be surprised to see that you're one of them. I liked my page. Most people won't check who all has liked your page anyway. But don't let that awkward situation happen where you're the only person who has liked your page.

You can like your own page, there is not any harm doing it.
It happens like the things you share are good enough to like, so if you like it not a big deal. Because you share it because you like something good about it.
