Chromebook question? - TMK - 05-02-2014 04:52 AM

Hi I'm considering on buying a chromebook but I just have a few simple questions before buying.

On my old PC I was able to play an online game called Habbo Hotel, just wondering if I would be able to play it on a Chromebook and how good would it play on it?

Also I used my old PC for like twitter, Facebook, Netflix and just surfing the web in general that's pretty much all I do

So would a chromebook would be good for me? If you can answer all these questions that'd be great, thanks Smile

You can play online games. You can do anything that works in a web browser so I'd say a Chromebook is ideal.

Netflix also works via their website.

It appears Habbo Hotel was built in Java, which Chromebooks do not support. Java is older technology and newer, better options are available which is why Google doesn't support it in Chromebooks. Games are still running on Java since it was so prolific, so it's still a little troublesome that Chromebooks don't support it.

Twitter, Facebook, and Netflix will all work on a Chromebook.
