They are a legal requirement in most places so are essential rather than important.

CE labels are mandatory conformity marking for products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA). It is the final step in the process of meeting European Compliance directives pertaining to your product.
Why are CE labels important?
- compliance with government rules (you can't sell if you don't have it)
- for the consumer, trust in the product since the CE label will tell them that the product has passed the standards imposed for that industry
