Is there a way to be able to open any type of file on a Chromebook? - 464 - 05-03-2014 07:26 AM

I do online school and I can't do some work, because my Chromebook says "file not supported"

If you have a PC at home you could use TeamViewer (it's free). It will basically connect your laptop to your home PC and you could do your normal stuff. The image may be laggy though.

Consider that:
1. You will need a good internet connection to do this
2. If you constantly connect and disconnect TeamViewer will start complaining that you might be using it for making money. Which violates the TOS

There are other programs that support remote desktop even chrome itself if you are not satisfied.

What kind of file are you trying to open?
