I think that you should wait to meet her before you like her. You don't know her personality, what she really looks like, how nice she is, etc.
Don't jump ahead too fast. You should message her to meet up with you at her locker or yours, or some place where you can meet and become friends.

talk to her at school before you add her and even when you talk to her wait about a week to add her on fb. And when you get on fb you can act flirty and stuff so she gets to like you. DON'T BE TWO FACED!!!!! Girls hat it when a guy acts one way on fb and another way in real life, plus t makes you look sketchy. Also be yourself.

hmmm, well my friend's dating a guy she met on facebook before school started.
she likes posting music videos, and the guy commented on her posts saying she had good taste in music, then she added him, and their friendship started from there.
it went on for about 2 months before school started.
and then they met, and yeah.... bam, relationship.
so yeah. hope it helps.
or you could always message her and say, "hi, are you going to (school)?" if she replies, you can say "me too". and conversation could start.
