Not really. Facebook makes application developers adhere to strict rules. They aren't allowed to keep your address, sex, email address or even your name for that matter. Facebook is taking a lot of steps to make its website fun and safe. So add all the apps you'd like too and have fun. Ahh... the wonderful world of facebook.
P.S. I have developed a few applications for facebook, so I know these things.

Yes,that is my view. These application make facebook look crowded and i suspect that they my give out our info. to third parties.

No It's Not dangerous. some of them are pretty stupid
