Why can't i invent something that is good. is everything done with technology?

Facebook makes their money with ads. I think if you want to invent something, you don't need to know how to code. But, if you want to create or develop something similar to FB, then you will need to know how to code - PHP, Ruby, Perl, etc. Websites such as FB takes a lot of hard work, a lot of coding, AND some money!
