Tips for advertising my new online business? - Chris - 05-04-2014 11:34 AM Hi in about a week a will be starting my own online business. I will be selling hockey tshirts and hats. I'm looking for advice as to how to get my website out there and for people to buy my stuff. I already have a twitter account with 1500 followers and a bunch of people that are looking forward to buying stuff based on the pictures ive uploaded but I know I can't count on twitter and facebook to get me the amount of sales I would like. I know that forums might work but I don't know which ones and other than that I just have know idea how or where to advertise for cheap/free. Any advice given is appreciated! I will give the best answer out tomorrow! - 832 - 05-04-2014 11:39 AM Getting advertising on popular sites could be beneficial. Make sure your website has good SEO so people can find you on search engines. You could also take out some google/facebook ads that will target people interested in purchasing that kind of stuff. If you want to get advertising, other than google adsense, I use commission junction for my website. It gives advertisers a commission on sales due to clicks. It's a win-win for both as you only pay out when a sale is made following a click on a banner/text ad and the advertiser gets a cut on the sale as a reward for the ad. Finally, I would gladly add a link to your website if you would give me the URL. I try and keep a database of hockey manufacturers and hockey related manufacturers up to date. Also can give you a follow on twitter ![]() Hope it helps! - ? - 05-04-2014 11:50 AM You need to do seo on your webpage based around your keywords such as 'hockey tshirts' This is just one way, there is a good article showing how to promote your website that you may find useful.
