How to stop my history from being seen on other laptops? - Adaytoremember - 05-05-2014 01:44 PM

Me and my parents both use Chrome as a browser , when i got my new laptop i went to delete the history and then i saw my parents history at the start then mine and also all of the things that they put on that bar thing (the sites that they have starred) show up on my bar and when i deleted them i noticed that they also deleted on my parents laptop as well.
So how do i stop them from being connected in that way?
i know someone is going to say I've been going on bad websites but i haven't its just sometimes i go on late at night or go on Facebook too much and i just like to have a bit of privacy and also i would really like to be able to star websites again without being questioned about it.
I do use my own Google account .I asked my sister about this and she said it could be because i logged in to Google (then logged out) a few times on my parents computer , but surely there's something i can do about it still right?

Crate and use your own google account.

Simple, do not sync with Google! you can turn off the spy ware! Google offers a service but there is a catch, they can use the info!

Go to settings and then sign out of chrome, If you want to keep logged in but still you don't want your parents to see them then add a new user and sign into that, or still you can choose what to sync between those computers. You can find those in this picture below

It sounds like your Google account is still logged in on your parents' computer! You simply need to go into the chrome settings on their computer and disconnect your Google account. Happy surfing!

P.s. You could always use the Incognito tab too. It wouldn't hurt! :-)
