I have internet connection but can not go online? - 595 - 05-06-2014 12:18 PM
I use Vista, but I can not browse internet or anything using internet. On the right hand coner on the desktop shows there is an internet connection(icon-two pcs with an earth). I use used "pin google.com". it is fine. so i restored vista using recovery disc. but still have the same problem.
please help !

Try completely uninstalling your modem device driver then reset computer,had same prob on vista

your Internet Connection might have been blocked by firewall and proxies. So, first make sure of it.

check internet properties, and see the connection detection method, the default is "automatic" but this will not connect you to the net so change it to 10/100
