Amazon import charges to New Zealand? - Tan - 05-07-2014 01:05 AM I am looking to buy a gtx 770 from Amazon (very overpriced locally) and should cost around 400-450 nzd. However, on eBay, the same card would come to a grand total of around 520 due to import tax/ charges. Is this the same with amazon? Would the grand total amount to around 520 as well or does the amazon price I pay somehow cover it? Thanks - ℵƒlashℵ - 05-07-2014 01:18 AM Amazon/ebay don't determine duty tax. It is something the NZ government slaps on to imports, regardless of which store they're from. For computer parts $400-$450 the duty is about $110... but you also have to calculate the duty they charge on your freight too, which is at a separate rate to the electronics.
