I have not had problems for quite some time, but recently, my laptop (running win 7) has had intermittent connectivity issues with my internet. For some reason, only this laptop experiences these problems, none of the others in my house do. I will be using the internet just fine, then suddenly, i cannot connect to anything. The wireless still says im connected and does not say anything unusual or even say that i have no connection, but chrome fails to reach webpages and gives me the unable to connect errors. Honestly, i have no idea what it could be. It's really starting to piss me off, especially since it happens intermittently. Any ideas of what it might be?
Yea, would've upvoted your suggestion scarecrow, but that last part made me not want to. I use chrome for a reason. I don't like firefox nearly as much as i like chrome. Please don't do stuff like that, it's only annoying.
I wish i could submit an answer myself. I think i figured out what the problem was. I'm pretty sure that the problem was an IP address conflict because i never shut off my laptop with this problem, and it often goes to sleep. Meanwhile, i turn on and use other computers in my household.

Start Task Manager look on the Network tab, see how many bytes are being exchanged between you and your provider to make sure you are on line. Disable then re-enable your Internet connection confirm it
-If you are online it's probably chrome acting up, to confirm that try an alternate browser when it happens and see if you can connect,
If that's the case uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh version chrome should solve it
Or better yet, just uninstall Chrome altogether and use Firefox
