I created my email after registering for instagram? - 610 - 05-08-2014 02:43 PM

I registered for instagram using an email I hadn't created yet. Then my account reset my password for security issues and then I created the email I used to sign up with and it was send me a verification email for my password!! It says it sent but I don't get the email! I'm POSITIVE it's the right email too!

Make sure that you check ALL of your folders, sometimes they go to JUNK or SPAM. If you still cannot find it, contact Instagram about the issue.

If you're not receiving the password reset email, it's possible that the email is being caught in your spam filter or that you mistyped your email when registering.

Try the following:

Check your spam filter
If the reset email isn't in your spam filter, try resetting your password through Facebook verification if you've previously linked your Instagram and Facebook accounts
If neither of these work, get in touch with your email service provider to make sure that you're able to get emails from the domain @instagram.com

If you've previously linked your Instagram and Facebook accounts, it's possible to reset your password without receiving an email - http://help.instagram.com/409847499070242

Unfortunately, if you've forgotten your password and lost access to your email account, we're unable to release the Instagram account to you. This includes accounts registered with mistyped email addresses. We understand this can be frustrating, but this policy is meant to make sure Instagram accounts don't fall into the wrong hands. We hope that you are able to recall your password in the future so that you can log in and correct the email address.
