Privacy on internet connection? - 897 - 05-08-2014 08:59 PM

If I connect to my houses private internet connection, an my mom see what websites I have been on because the main connection is on her computer
If I connect to my house connection with my laptop, can my mom see what sites I have been on? (the main connection is on her computer)

No the cookies from the sites and the history is on YOUR pc only. if you download some internet providers will display what you downloaded but not where you downloaded it from so your good to go for porn.

no not unless she accesses you're computer she cannot see anything so if you are surfing something such as porn which i bet you are (not judging) the best idea is to delete you're browsing history so she canot find it. unless she is a professional in ms dos which i doubt. to delete history in internet explorer go to tools - internet options - delete - check every box then click delete. have fun surfing porn just kidding

Justin,

Please disregard the other answers. Yes, she can see it if she is the main internet connection, and your connection to the internet has to travel through her computer to get to the internet. This is done with simple internet spying software, but you can defeat it.

What you can do is get a free anonymous web browser like xB Browser and it will encrypt your internet traffic so nobody can see where you go online, even if you are using their own computer or an internet connection that has to go through their computer. You can do anonymous surfing to any sites you like and nobody can snoop on you or block you. Linked below.
