So recently I went on a camp for University, I met heaps of friendly and lovely people. They all wanted to add my on FACEBOOK, and I was like mine is deactivated at the moment.
I dont use facebook because I only have a few friends, and I mean a few. I just text message friends to hang out.
Problem is people dont like giving out their mobile numbers these days. I dont know why?
Anyway I want to stay in contact with the people I met on the camp, to see if I can become friends with some of the but to stay in contact would mean that I need to use facebook.
I Have an old facebook I created back in 2011 that I could reactivate and use. I only have like 83 friends added to it, no photos, no wall comments. Nothing much because I have not used it in years.
Or I could make a complete new one and start adding people. I could just say that I forgot which email address I originally signed up to facebook with and had to make a new one.
I feel really down and sad about this, because I just feel like a loser on facebook. But I want to make more friends, I just feel that some people may not like me.

That's silly, you don't need a new facebook. You can also hide how many friends you have so no one else can see that. why does it bother you so much?
Ask for their number, ask for an email, tell them that you don't have a facebook because you don't feel the need to have one. You call and text your friends.

poor you I don't have any friends either cos every1 wants to EAT me. FB says i have 151 freinds but only 1-person ever would i call a REAL friend. You can find FAKE love on FB too by just clicking. https://www.facebook.com/thousandloveletters
Also my family likes to use the android app "WhatsApp" It' allows you to share photos and text all based on your friends phone number. You can even leave a video message unlike skype. The best part is it is free to use no hidden charges. I used it to keep in touch with my wife when she was in London and we only used wifi-hotspots.

I think FB is a great way to contact new people and keep in touch with old friends.
That said, I think you need to forget the "teen" mentality of your worth in life is based on how many "friends" you have on FB or other social media. 82 real friends is better than 1,500 people you have never met in person.
I would rather give someone my FB than a phone number, I can always easily block an annoying person on FB. Sadly too many teens actively compete to get the most "friends" or "followers", it is so sad that people could possible care, so childish.
