Help! Google Chrome and Internet Explorer are flipping out!!? - 449 - 05-09-2014 11:57 PM

As of today, Google chrome and internet explorer will not let me log in to facebook or anything else, including gmail. I have a very important email I need to read tonight and I am loosing my mind! the message that comes up on any site I try to go on is

The site's security certificate has expired!
You attempted to reach twitter.com, but the server presented an expired certificate. No information is available to indicate whether that certificate has been compromised since its expiration. This means Google Chrome cannot guarantee that you are communicating with twitter.com and not an attacker. You should not proceed."

I do not know what to do PLEASE help!

You have a virus, format your computer. For the time being use another computer to access Twitter etc.

Hmm, that's odd.

Well for one, NEVER use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is a virus to us web developers. It is a big project to just get a modern website to work right in it! Now, Internet Explorer 9 is fine, but IE8 and below are horrible.

It might be something to do with your internet connection if it is doing it in two different browsers.

Could you try the following:

- Clear your browsing history
- Clear your browser's cache
- Clear your browser's cookies

Are you on any proxies or anything?

P.S DO NOT uninstall Google Chrome. Uninstall Internet Explorer instead. Google Chrome is the best and fastest web browser. Internet Explorer is the slowest. Trust me, I know. The person that said "uninstall google chrome" is wrong. Google Chrome is a much better browser. I'm a web developer and I know what browsers are good and bad! Smile
