HELP!!! Should I get rid of Time Warner Internet as soon as I can!!!? - Jay - 05-10-2014 03:05 PM

OK, I've heard of lots of nusty things about time warner internet. I never believe it untill today. I got time warner internet, 10 to 15 mbps (about 1 to1.5 mb/s download speed). Originally, everything was fine. But recently, I got only 100 to 200 kb/s !!! Their technician helped me change another modem. I thought everything was going to be ok. But, the speed is fricking slowing down to 10 percent of sevice I pay for. So I call time warner to help me fix this. they send me a technician to help me with my issue. But today, the technician calls me that I will be charged $50. I was like wtf? he says it is my router issue so I will be charged. I know it is not, I bypass connection to my router. I connect my PC directly to the modem and got such low speed. And they say it is my router's problem. I refused to pay and cancel the technician visit. But later the technician says he makes a mistake that I should be charged at $20!
This is like they are trying to rob me. I thought time warner should be a customer friendly, and a good internet company. But I never imagine they could do such shit to an old customer!!!! I have been using it for almost a year and half.
Should I switch to another internet service. Any recommendations that which internet service is customer friendly and can provide a steady speed.
Sry for my stupid English, I cannot control my anger Sad

They and Comcast are totally ruthless and incompetent.

Here, Verizon is available, but from using their info site, I can see there will be trouble if I switch to them.

I'm using Clearwire now, $35/mo for the slow version. I think fast is $40.

I tired to get Comcast, but they were infinitely worse than your TW.

Write a letter to the CEO and tell them what's going on & how much a refund you want.

Mail it Certified, Return Receipt Requested.

And rat TW to state consumer protection dept and Federal Communication Commission .

& consider small claims court; I've netted abt $1000 there.
