Do Fanfiction.net administrators do anything? - Elijah Williams - 05-10-2014 10:03 PM

I've come across a very dedicated troll on Fanfiction.Net, with proof that said troll operates with multiple persona's. I've counted at least 4 so far.

I sent a message with proof to the Administrators of the site, and I never got anything back.

I mean if Critics United can get people banned just for making stories they don't like, then why won't the admin's ban someone who has repeatedly proven to be a problem?

Trolls are harder cases to prove and act on, but in the end it really boils down to overload. A lot of fic gets reported on there, and it takes a long amount of time for them to do anything. One thing that does help (somewhat) is strength in numbers. If a fic or person is being reported multiple times by different people they're a bit more likely to act on it. The problem with a troll account and this tactic is that until it happens they'll get a lot of attention and that's what they want.
