ebay shipping question? - Sandy - 05-12-2014 06:43 PM I ordered an item on ebay for $50 with free shipping. Once the item arrived the postage sticker said it was $38 to ship. I feel bad because between the shipping and ebay fees, the seller lost money. Should I offer to send some money to cover part of the shipping? I didn't overpay. it was listed as $85 everywhere else not including tax and shippn so $50 was a good deal - gigilovee - 05-12-2014 06:43 PM no. she put it as the price of 50 and free shipping because shipping was included in that price. - Kevin - 05-12-2014 06:44 PM No you shouldn't offer anything because the seller knew all along that he had to pay $38 but he sold it as free shipping. So in the end, its his problem and thats something you shouldnt worry about. - Charlie Tuna - 05-12-2014 06:55 PM That's very considerate of you, however, sellers usually inflate prices to account for potentially high shipping charges. I actually think that you might have overpaid, if the item was worth $12 dollars and you paid $50 in total. |
