A server is ANY machine that offers a service. So if you have a printer connected to your machine and make it shared for ithers to print to it, your machine becomes a print server. If you have files you want others to see, you sett their folder shared and it makes your machine a file server. When you use the Internet all the material you see is held on web servers. when you send or receive emails you do so through a mail server. When you want to view material on the Internet you need a program which understands how to read the web pages. That program is a web browser. This includes Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and a lot more.

A browser, typically an internet browser, is any piece of software that is used to connect to websites and generally browse the internet. The default browser for Windows is Internet Explorer and the default browser for OS X is Safari. Other popular options for browsers are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. There are also things called file browsers, which is what Windows uses whenever you look for a document in My Documents. This is called Windows Explorer.
A server is any computer that is being used as a central source for connections. Your computer, the client, sends a request to the central computer, the server, and then the server processes it and send back a result. This can be like sending for a page to print, downloading a file or even just viewing a website.
