Internet explorer 09 file association? - InsertNickHere - 05-13-2014 03:50 PM

In my office, whenever I upload a file from my work drive to our website, internet explorer makes an association to that file. Afterwards, I cannot move the file from the folder it is in to another folder. When I try, it says the file is in use. Even when I close IE, it still does this. Ho do I make IE stop keeping the file in use?

Thank you.
Work Computer = I can't install anything. So, for all you IE haters out there, sorry. No Firefox or Chrome.

Dr Bunk, your answer makes sense. The problem is that multiple people are working in the same folder, and it is my responsiblity to oversee this and ensure work is completed. Once the work is completed, I review it, and move it to a COMPLETE folder. The worker-bees are the ones uploading the files. When they upload the files, I can't move the folder. Getting multiple people to do what you say, while not impossible, is difficult. If there is a better way to do this, I am all ears (errr.. eyes).

Simple solution is to switch to a decent Browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

What is happening is that the website is using files from a synced network resource.

You should create a redundant file in a separate location then publish that.
