Copying an article from a website to use on my own site? - D - 05-13-2014 05:39 PM I want to copy an article posted on Philosophynews.com to use on my newly made website (forum/blog). My site has a featured section in which I would like to post interesting content (i.e., the article I found on philosophynews.com). Can i copy the content and post it in my featured section so long as I keep the original source in the featured post? Will this be violating some sort of copyright infringement? Thanks in advance! - Smokies Hiker - 05-13-2014 05:52 PM More than likely it would be a copyright infringement. You should be able to find that information on their web site, and who to contact for permission to use the copyrighted material. - met - 05-13-2014 06:03 PM Check the T&C's on the site. - RAVI TEJA J - 05-13-2014 06:06 PM It depends on what license that content holds....You can copy it if it holds creative commons license... |
