My YouTube channel won't switch accounts.? - 769 - 05-14-2014 01:12 AM

For some weird reason, on any browser version of YouTube (desktop or mobile), if I try to switch from my default channel to my linked account (which I use more), it does not work. It either sends me back to my default channel, or signs me out. If I even try to search for my channel via URL, it says that it does not exist (even though it was just fine yesterday).

What's weird, though, is that my linked account is still valid and accessible on the YouTube app. I can still like videos, comment, and perform other privileges exclusive to a YouTube account. What's even weirder, though. is that even if I sign out and log back into my YouTube app account, that linked account is still available. It's as if nothing had ever happened to it.

As a final note, I'm not sure if this would help, but the browser I use (both on my desktop and mobile device) is Google Chrome.

I'm not sure if this is a glitch, or just some mistake, but I'm just concerned about what is happening with my YouTube Account.

Thank you!
Weird... my account was finally able to successfully switch. Please disregard this question, then!!!

i. Your current YouTube username. This will set up a new Google+ page for your channel with the same name. Your YouTube name won't change.
ii. "Choose a better name" lets you enter a new name. This will set up a new Google+ page for your channel with that name. There are no name restrictions—get the name you always wanted!
iii. If you have a Google+ profile, the last option will let you link your channel with your Google+ profile instead of a page. If you're not sure, learn more about whether to choose a profile or a page.

Once you've chosen a page option, click Next and that's it - your YouTube channel is now linked with your Google+ page.

Note: There is no public link between your new page and personal Google+ profile (if you have one). People who view your YouTube channel or Google+ page will not find any connection to your personal profile or name, unless you publicly link them yourself.
