Fishy situation about the Lowest Price Traffic School website? - Kayla - 05-14-2014 07:42 PM

I logged into my account and saw that my credit card number was saved. Is that safe? allowed? normal?

It could be your browser that saved it or it could be the website. If the website address starts with Https:// and something after that then it is safe. The https means a secure website and the information is encrypted. If it just says http:// and no s after it then it is an unsecured site.

Generally it's not a good idea for a business to store credit card information, encrypted or not. It's safe possibly until a hacker breaks into their system and figures out how to decrypt the information, assuming it's encrypted in the first place.
