I heard you can unlock Griffin in Gears of War 3 by going to a Facebook page and clicking on something. But it looks as the Facebook link is not working. Am I doing something wrong? or is he not available anymore?

The Facebook approach was a shortcut to unlocking him, and was likely shut down since the game has been out for years now. You can still unlock him through standard means through the game itself. Specifically, you will have to get the Onyx Big Money medal in Horde mode to unlock him.
