if you are on a laptop you simply turn off the wi-fi. it is usually a switch or a button. otherwise unplug your modem or router. Simply do the reverse to enable again. your computer should automatically remember the setting

If you use a router, do a search on 'MAC addresses'. With most routers you can do mac filtering for her computer. Basically you can make it so that the computer can only access the internet during certain hours. Like if you want to give her a few hours in the evening or something. If you set this, you don't have to mess with computers or disconnect things all the time.
