Hi,

SEO stands for Search Engine Optmization and people do SEO to get their website to show up on the search engine result page when someone searches for a keyword(s) related to their website. By achieving this, it helps their website gets more traffic and probably brand recognition. Having more traffic to the website will increase brand recognition and sales of course.

You do not activate it. You will need to apply these SEO practices on your website either manually or with someone's help.
