Let me begin, I'm a C#, VB.NET, C++ Developer with very little web development experience.
I know you can put java into an iFrame and Facebook can view it through it's canvas.
Does it have to be a JAVA Applet? I can't seem to find many 'good' tutorials on this. Once I know how to load the java game onto a website (I have hosting) I can begin

I am not sure why you would want to use Java for a facebook game.
The majority of facebook games are currently made in Flash, but the way forward is HTML 5.
If you want a future in web programming in general and facebook games in particular, I would start learning HTML 5 instead.
