How would you rate my blog? - Jaenmarc Lim - 05-21-2014 10:44 AM

On the scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate my blog, design-wise and the interface?

A 7 rating

Not immediately obvious that it's a recipe site, should be some subheader phrase.

Are there any commercial cupcake brands with a man's name? the Sir in the domain name may not be the best marketing, usually associated with home cooked goodness and a woman's name. Even the Hostess brand suggests a gender.

Estimated calories might be a nice addition.

8 point.
Because nice design.

no number but i'll try to help.

how about using a plugin to have your social buttons float on the side and remove the excess usage.

how about shifting the photos left or right, changing the copy to talk more about how good they are and allow the text to float up the other side

reduce the resolution of the photos as the page load time is excessive

use the upper nav area and get off the sidebar so that it moves content up

get a micro jobber to create a logo -- possibly an outlined cupcake

the blue link text, does not work inside the green 'cupcake of month' change that so it becomes more visible

there is more but that will get you started

btw ... the Japanese cup cake made my mouth water

I'll rate based on the possible types of viewers: (I actually tried asking some people around me)
Internet Marketer - 4
Programmer - 5
Normal Internet User - 7
A Facebook Addict - 8
A Complete Internet Dummy - 10
