I got these results from speedtest.net I am not sure if I can tell form those data, as it varies from time to time.
Ping: 46 ms
Download Speed: 8.91 Mbps
Upload Speed: 1.49 Mbps
For example, Today I had 4.53 Mbps instead of 8 Mbps.

Prob 10 Meg download and 1.5 upload, if you have cable it can vary DSL and Fiber are more reliable

You do appear to have a broadband connection, but to know what type, you might check the bill from your internet service provider. Could be DSL, Uverse, FIOS, etc. And, of course, within each, there is often multiple levels of service available.
