yes, you can easily blocked someone on Facebook. You can go through the setting options, block option are available.

Just go to settings and click blocking, it's all in the right hand corner of fb and add the person you want to block to the blocked list

If you want to block someone of Facebook, just simply go to his/her profile, click the 'Settings button' at the lower right area of the timeline cover, and select Report/Block. After selecting Report/Block, Facebook will ask you if you want to either Unfollow, Unfriend, Block, or Report that person. Description of each options will can be found there, just in case you want to know the difference of those.

To block someone:
Click at the top right of any Facebook page.
Click How do I stop someone from bothering me?
Enter the name or email address of the person you want to block and click Block.
If you entered a name, select the specific person you want to block from the list that appears.
