NoFollow do very little for ranking, you still need to have some to maintain a natural looking link profile, least we forget any link created "for the purpose of search rank manipulation" is a search engine guideline violation. Some say they may help a site's "authority"

No follow links are valuable links in their own specific way that is one links to a relevant site for getting a direct and targeted traffic from those links. Linking to sites with high traffic can bring the online visibility and will help in boosting the brand name and can act as an added advantage of no-follow links.
