What is that thing called that hooks into your laptop that brings you wireless internet? I have an HP laptop. Which kind do I need? Thank you, I'm obviously clueless.

You need to go to your local mobile phone service provider and ask them for a wireless broadband dongle. It's not free of course. You have to subscribe to a postpaid plan use just their prepaid package.
