Well there is one website uniquely designed to check internet connection speed,not only internet speed,but you can check internet connection upload and download speed.

Be cautious. As some of these sites may infect your computer w/ malware. Trojans... etc...
Otherwise good luck. De-Fragging will help your computer run smoother, and make sure to do a memory (RAM) scan to see if your computer could be the problem. and not your internet
