Selling things i make on eBay? - Georgia - 05-25-2014 02:42 AM

i really want to make tie dye t shirts/shorts/frilly socks/tights on ebay?
obviously i will be making these myself, but. have a few questions
1. will they sell? i need to work out how much im selling them for (providing i make a profit because i obviously need to buy items, dye etc)
2. will i get recognised on ebay? (tips on how to)
3. is it legal to sell these on the internet?

any designs or other ideas related to this would also be handy,
THANK YOU!

Well first of all, it will sell. Everything on eBay gets sold eventually, even a used toothbrush. This is a really good idea and I know I'd buy something - especially the tights.
As for your second question you may get recognised on eBay if you work hard and the things you are selling are good quality. Vary the colours and items you are selling so there is something for everyone.
Lastly it is legal to sell anything on eBay, but if you want to create your own website and sell things out of places like ebay/amazon ect. you will need a selling licence before it is legal.

Some tips:
Sell worldwide apart from Nigeria and Italy (too long to go into)
Get your postage estimation right.
Dispatch QUICK.
Leave feedback and always ask for buyers to leave feedback.
Set-up automated emails once someone has purchased an item, have the emails thanking them and telling them it will be dispatched soon, also say you always have new things in stock so to favourite to keep checking your items. Get a buyer coming back.

Good luck, it can be hard work but it can work. You need patience though.
