Wired internet keeps cutting out.? - going to california - 05-25-2014 04:32 AM
I recently got a new router, the old one had to be turned off and turned back on every few hours or wireless devices connected to it would lose their connection. The new router works fine for the wireless devices, but my desktop is wired up to the router and I have to turn it off and back on again every 30 minutes now or the desktop will lose its connection. Does anyone know how to fix this?

it is likely there is either an ip address conflict or the router is malfunctioning. Shutdown all your devices that use internet completely (not sleep, not tap the power button, but fully shutdown). Then reboot one at a time and try it again.
