I have a doubt related to SEO. I heard that google crawls the contents and description in flash site. Also noticed that website designed in flash normally have high page rank? Why is it so? Can anybody clear my doubts..
One more doubt will google crawl contents and links from the online power point presentations. Please tell how video promotions helps in search engine optimization?

I have heard something different.
That Google doesn't like websites made in flash, because it is difficult to crawl.
Page rank has to do with the amount of links with page rank value that is linking to your site and to whom sites with what page rank you are linking to.
Yes, powerpoint and pdf is being crawled.
Video promotions for seo is to make a long-tail keyword video and optimize the video with the keywords in the title, description and tags.

First of all, Google is getting better at crawling Flash, however they are still not great at crawling it. Let me ask you this. Is it necessary to have flash on your site? What is the flash doing that you couldn't accomplish with a more friendly programming language?
The reason you see high PR for many flash-based sites is because many of those sites are huge brands, that are able to leverage their long-term credibility and quality inbound links to get that high PR.
I would strongly not recommend flash if you can stay away from it.
As for powerpoint presentations, you can optimize your slideshows by incorporating keywords in the Title, description and slidshow file name. Try uploading your presentations to Slideshare and Scribd.

Its not true that flash sites will rank high on search engines. Google doesn't have any preferences over flash sites. however, Google has been reading flash files for some time now which some other major search engines still lack.
