Why is my internet connection so weird? (New wireless network adapter)? - Bob - 05-26-2014 02:35 PM

So about a month ago I've bought a new wireless network usb adapter. It's called "Linksys WUSB100 ver.2"

Internet connection on my old wireless network G adapter was much better.
I've got network magic program, and every couple of minutes, it says "internet disconnected" or "local area connection disconnected" and my internet lags.
Connection is very good for a couple of minutes, HD videos load fast etc. and then suddenly it starts to lag, my video stop buffering for a couple of minutes, websites take couple of minutes to load, and then my connection goes back to normal, when I talk with people on the internet and they've got their internet camera video, it freezes after few seconds and won't go back on until I refresh the website and then it freezes again.

I can't normally talk on skype because it laggs and then disconnects.
When I try to download a 5mb music file, it takes minutes until it will download, and on my old wireless network G adapter it took about 30 seconds.
When I download a file from this website: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html
it will download at speed around 400kb/s and then it will freeze for a couple of minutes and then continue downloading at the speed of 200-400kb/s and it will do the same thing over and over again.

When my adapter was plugged directly in the usb port in the computer internet connection was slower, when I plugged it through the usb cable it was faster, now I've got new longer usb cable and it works faster than on the old usb cable. But it's still annoying
Sometimes the download speed just goes down, and the file won't download at all, now i'm trying to download a 400mb file and the download speed was 400kb/s at the beginning and now it's just 5kb/s, and it keeps going down.
Only those test files from thinkbroadband, are downloading without a problem

The best way to make your internet connection faster is download an internet optimizer software, such as, Reginout.

Also, disable the add-ons, clear the browser cache and temporary internet files to fix the problem.

[A] Disable Add-Ons:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools | Manage Add-Ons.
3. Select an add-on and click "Disable" button.

[B] Delete Browser Cache and Temporary Internet Files:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools | Delete Browsing History.
3. Click "Delete" button.
