Will Google punish my site in this way ? - 529 - 05-30-2014 08:43 PM

Hello, I have a question about seo for google

The situation is like this :

Suppose I have 2 sites.

-I register the domains on Godaddy.com by using a same account, but I used the Domain Safe Guard to hide the register information (Godaddy ID).

-I put the 2 sites on ANOTHER company, with different IP address, but by a same account (I mean the hosting are belong to a same account on the hosting provider)

Now if one site are punished by the Google, will the other one be punished?

I am doubt Google will find the footprints for the 2 sites are belong to a same people.

If so, how should I prevent that happen?
Hope some body can spark me, thank you!

Generally they will not penalize site B for site A's offenses, although I would not be surprised if they would look into other properties with the same owner.

The concealing of a common owner with different C code IPs and whois information was most commonly done to earn some backlink benefit from a one way link between the sites. There are so many other backlink sources in these web 2.0 days that the expense of hiding their common ownership is just not worth it.

Since the Panda & Penguin introduction some paranoid operators have stopped signing up their sites to Analytics and webmaster Tools to limit Google's access to the site code.

Of course a common adsense account is another way they would connect 2 sites.

The assumption is that the owner of the site is punished by applying a punishment to other sites/domains under the same account - I am sure this is NOT how the Google hysteresis is supposed to work...
A site will be punished based on it's own content, or sometimes based on incoming links that are perceived as being paid links or from a 'bad neighbourhood'.
It is possible that an IP address could be targeted - if there were a lot of bad sites on the same server, but that would be bad news for shared servers...
There is some suggestion that duplicate content is punished (ie. if the sites were identical or had very similar content), but this is unclear - think of the amount of reposting and sharing on Facebook for instance, they won't be punishing facebook for that...
The only time that Google would punish a account (to my knowledge) is if the sites were sharing a google adsense account - in which case, as soon as you step out of line, you would lose all your unpaid earnings on all your sites..
