Weird, spontaneous font change on Google Chrome? - 061 - 05-31-2014 01:16 AM

Usually when I search using Google Chrome, the search results have a certain font and are underlined. For example, if I google "atom," I see a link to a Wikipedia article that is underlined and has a particular default font.

But every once in a while, the search results change. The links are NOT underlined and the font seems to look different. It gets back to normal when I exit my browser a few times, though.

Why does this happen? How does the font spontaneously change without my input?

You probably have installed, either knowingly or unknowingly, an extension, toolbar or something else that inserts inself into your HTML preprocessing chain, injecting links into your HTML when keywords are recognized.

Review your extensions, and uninstall all toolbars. I have never seen an installable toolbar worth having.

I also noticed it today, it seems that google has changed some style-sheets, maybe to accomodate it to mobile users. It is VERY ugly. I'm sure that this must be some kind of bug which will be fixed soon. Otherwise this is a reason to change the search-engine.
