Use WiFi router. It will solve your problem.

You need a wireless router. The cable modem will plug into the router and the router will broadcast the Internet connection wirelessly so your wireless devices can connect to it.

You need a wireless roter connected to your service, then you connect the laptop to that by wireless.

Turn on your computer. Click Start. Click Control Panel. Click internet connections, and let your computer search and connect you wirelessly. Your computer will display its findings.
