Ebay selling buyer wants a refund? - gregory - 05-31-2014 04:01 PM

I sold a pair of shoes on eBay to a buyer...some b grade shoes...the package arrive at his house..he message me saying he like the shoes..and even left Good feedback with a comment...3 days later he open a case saying the shoes are réplicas, and that he want a refund...should I refund him are not..I dont care if eBay will suspend me..are lower my performance score..I just wanna no if I would be wrong not to refund him...cause it looks like he trying to scam me...probaly work the shoes to a party...now dont need them anymore...this is not Wal-Mart...

If they are indeed replicas and were not represented as such....yes you give him a refund. You can actually be prosecuted for that.

Ebay always sides with the buyer. I would tell the buyer to return the merchandise at his expense. Once returned refund his bid minus shipping cost.

It is just easier overall to refund. Most buyers will not even bother to return the item which will close the case.

Did you claim the shoes were a certain designer, or why is he claiming they are not what you described in the listing? What exactly did he say about them? If he opens a dispute claiming Not As Described, you may have to refund him if the shoes arrive back to you in the same condition as when you shipped them. I dont think he will win since he left good feedback. I would not send a refund unless Ebay decides you have to.
