All the basic works are same in SE to SE. Some of the algorithm is changed depends upon the Search engines terms and conditioned.

Hey Andy,

As noted below, SEO is generally the same for Yahoo as it will be for Google - correct tagging, keywords and front-loaded headlines etc will all help, however unless you are targeting a very specific audience you probably don't need to worry too much. Our site (http://econsultancy.com)gets around 37 times more traffic from Google than from Bing or Yahoo ( we actually get more traffic from Reddit too), so if you are ranking at a reasonable level on core keywords in Google then you'll probably find you'll do fine in Yahoo.

There are a few things you can do to optimise your site for other search engines (including Yahoo) however. I've added some links from our blog below that cover optimisation, SEO techniques and campaigns, as well as a link to some digital template files that might help - hope you find them usefulSmile

Best,

Matt

Hi Andy,

I think in Yahoo we have to do more on on-page optimization than Google. Yahoo is also more sensitive to the quality of links. If you build a bunch of poor quality links, you may find that Yahoo reacts poorly. I don't see no reason why you won't be able to do well in yahoo.

it's all much the same. you may want to look into yahoo website explorer which is the same as googles webmaster tools.

You need to do search engine optimization / website promotion to improve your ranking ...

I would suggest a few key points :-

- Build inbound links to your site that use your key words and phrases in the text of the link.
- Make the most of social networking in terms of sharing and "liking"
- Get listed on key directories such as Dmoz.org
- Ensure your site is fresh and regularly updated with new content.
- Create a sitemap (using a tool like G-Mapper ) to tell the top search engines about all the pages in your website.
- Link out to other relevant high ranking pages.

Creating a sitemap and using google webmaster tools and the yahoo / bing equivalent will give you a lot more insight into your website performance.
