i seen in a link to malware that a person wrote,something about using a free download ..that may cause issues with f.b.??? i have my pc 6 yrs,,have alot of free space,,and it really comes to a halt in f.b. apps..and when its real warmed up does ok..once im into facebook apps it keeps freezing,,whats the problem???? ive got Norton never let me down..i know alot don't care for it..that's not what im asking ...i need to know what will happen or not happen with a malware removal????

Whatever is installed on your pc or laptop has nothing to do with whatever malware install or removal you do to your pc. Facebook is not dependent on your software the only thing you need is a connection. Facebook is an independent site unless you write in Unix in Facebook where you can change the physical appearance of it then you wouldn't be asking this question. If you want to protect your apps installed on your PC, that may be attached to other links to your Facebook then yes you can lose the information but I would say back it up and have a restore point in case you lose any information. Yet, there no guarantee that you won't lose anything. I say reinstall the apps and hope it all comes back.
