You can find several article directories that gives do-follow links. Submit an article to them manually and you can get a do-follow link.

Here I will give you a few places to start.
Start with PR9 domains that will give you a dofollow backlink.
google.com (google+ in the introduction)
youtube.com ( in your youtube channel header links)
adobe.com (register at the help forums and put a link in your profile)
mozilla.org (register for their developer program and you will get a dofollow backlink in your profile)
