Banned Internet connection? - 982 - 06-02-2014 04:56 AM

Well this morning i find out my Internet connection isn't working..no xbox or any wifi, or computer. Yet I restarted the routers and it says it's up and running.. And on the Xbox laptop and computer it shows I have full bars.. But yet I can't get on the Internet.. It says the problem is DNS server isn't responding, I'm starting to think my ip addressed has been messed with? Maybe government stepped in due to illegal downloading? I'm clueless any ideas or help?

Hahaha this bug has been in the news forever. But it diddnt happen to you, because you just posted this on the net, nice try. Funny how kids never watch the news, oh if you were smart you would have known what to do to protect things, oh well.

Call your "ISP" and simply asked is there an issue with your account. If they ask what type of issue just say my internet is not working; if they say something about illegal DLing then I can't help you lol, but if they say no then hang up and troubleshoot the problem. Disconnect your modem power adapter and coaxial cable or phone line and wait 30 seconds. Then plug both cables, wait for about 4-8 minutes depending on how slow or fast the modem takes to initiate internet connection. Plug in the power adapter into the router and plug in the Ethernet cord between the two. Make sure your firewall is not blocking your connection or any programs as well. Since you mentioned your XBOX 360 I know it's not the firewall. There has been a DNS malware going on, but I'm pretty sure it's not that due to the way you describe your issue. If all else fails, call the company again and get a technician to come to your house, it is their job and respectability to satisfy and resolve customer needs and issue.

See if this applies....if it does, there are directions on fixing it...use whatever computer you are on now to post your question, obviously.
